12/23/2020
Over the weekend, I was asked to join Ed Womble, Travis Monroe and the skaters here in Winston-Salem, NC, for their annual Skate and Donate event. This year, over 140 complete skateboards were given away all throughout the city with countless smiles going along with 'em. Get some added holiday hype with the photos below! —Clyde Singleton

Gettin' ready to give out some boards, the crew assembles on the blocks
I’ll never forget the look on these kids' faces when Santa got out of the car at Rolling Hills Apartments. A little Christmas stoke goes a long way
“You get a board... You get a board... You get a board…”
We got ourselves a mini Domo Walker in the making
I walk through these projects nearly daily, and to think we brought the joy of skateboarding to Rolling Hills—it's just an incredible feeling
Little man said, “Santa Clause! Skateboards!” I seriously almost lost it. What a beautiful day
The Ollie Llama loves the kids
Winston-Salem’s own Sturgill Horn and the man behind it all Ed Womble
We also teamed up with the fine folks here at Potter House Ministries, where they were holding a food and clothing drive on the city’s north side
Teaming up, and spreading the good Christmas vibes in Camel City
This is what it's all about, my man
This little girl stole my heart this past weekend. I’ll never forget this as long as I live
If this isn't the quintessential skateboarding and Santa photo, I don't even know what to tell you. Ed Womble, you are a good man. Thank you for everything you do for these kids and skateboarding—huge inspiration
If you would like to donate or get involved with Boards For Bros, hit that link or reach out to Brian Schaefer down at SPoT. If you’re in the NC area, hit up my man Ed! Everyone, have a great holiday and thank you, Thrasher, for the love.
