For over 50 years, the people at CLASP have been working in Washington to make sure our leaders are hearing the people’s voice as opposed to special interests. Their legal work includes crafting government policy proposals to reduce poverty and improve racial equity in America. Peep their mission and remember to vote for local, state and federal offices so we can help turn this ship in the right direction.

Consent Is Rad
An international project launched by Dr. Indigo Willing, Consent is Rad focuses on educating skate scenes around the world about the importance of consent—especially in intimate settings. Its "No Naming, No Shaming, No Blaming" policy keeps the focus on their one simple message and protects the privacy of survivors and victims. In 2021 the Break the Cycle PSA was included in the mag.The group with co-founders We Skate QLD and Pushing Boards shares information about how to talk about consent and works with people in areas of gender inclusion and sexual violence prevention. If you're having an event, hit them up for some flyers or more info. Listen up, it's all in the name. -

The Crisis Text Line
Some would rather text than call, and for those, the Crisis Text Line is available 24/7, not just for suicide emergencies but for any number of painful, heated moments. Seventy-five-percent of the the texters that use the service are under the age of 25, which also overlaps with the largest demographic of skaters. It’s free, it’s anonymous and it helps save lives. Watch their video to see more of their mission. And, if you’re in a crisis currently, text “Hello” to #741741 and connect with a crisis counselor today.
