Why do they call you Frecks?
I guess it's short for freckles. I've had that nick name since I was in the 4th grade. It stuck ever since.

Where are you from?
I'm from Oceanside, CA. Ghetto by the sea.

That's next to Vista, CA. Can you name five Vista legends?

How was that last Skate Rock trip?
Skate Rock's are always the best. The last one was insane. Top of the US to the bottom. Crazy shows every night and insane skating being produced. There was like 40 people on the last one, with like 6 vans. It was chaos and so much fun.

What happened on that slam on Dave B's ramp?
I tried to do a 5-0 around the corner, got locked up and slammed to flat. My elbow went into my stomach and lacerated my spleen. I had to get life-flighted to the hospital. Shit sucked.

And what happened to your knee? Did you focus it?
I tore my ACL. Pretty much focused it. It's been too long since I skated, shit sucks. But I should be back on it in another month or 2. Can't wait.

So what have you been doing since your surgery? Playing drums? How's playing in Arctic with Nuge and Figgy?
It's great. Been having a blast playin' a bunch of shows and jammin' a bunch. Recording, traveling and playin' jams. Doesn't get much better than that.

Why did you decide to put out some clips later this week?
Because I haven't skated in so long from hurting my knee and I had some footage I was sitting on. It was gettin old, so decided to do something with it.

How do you feel about putting clips on the internet?
Real videos is where it's at. I feel like those actually mean something. Video parts on the internet are cool, but they just fly by so quick and they're gnarly as fuck. I feel like people forget about them. Actual video parts in videos on DVD or whatever, are what people remember more.

So after people forget about this in 10 minutes, what's next for you? Keep the dream alive and start all over again?
You mean after they forget about it in 5 minutes?  Just keep doin' my thing. Play the drums and physical therapy my life away, until I can skate the way I was before I hurt myself. Always keep the dream alive. Start from the bottom of the barrel. I'm gonna be a 12 year old tryin' to learn how to skate again. It's gonna be sick!
