Guy Mariano Pro Truck Release Party Photos

Whenever someone comes out with a new signature truck, it’s safe to say a party is in order. When it’s someone as legendary as Guy Mariano, you best be sure it’s going to be a night to remember. Thunder hosted a private, invite-only skate jam at Guy’s park in North Hollywood with all the top rippers, ice cold drinks and a taco truck to keep the hungry happy. Not to mention, it also happened to be Dan Plunkett’s birthday, so you know there was cake. Thanks for the fun night, Thunder! —Alex Papke

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 10All the low-cal drinks you could ever dream of…

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 11Kept on ice by my pick for TMOTY, Nate Alton

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 12Foy popped his head in and went straight for the front feeble on the snake. Sorry, Jamie, I didn't wanna tell you but Ant Travis handled the front crook before you showed up

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 13The LA Boy himself, Paulo Diaz, came out swinging with this early grab method over the hip. Doesn’t get much better than this

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 14Legends circuit: AVE, P-Rod and Guy

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 15Straight to it, P-Rod handled this frontside flip at least five times without missing one

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 16GOATs in stereo, Ishod Wair, promptly gets his back

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 17Bottoms up for the boys

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 18Who do you think’s more stoked to be here, Ant or Jamie?

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 19Wouldn’t be a proper blog post without at least one shotgun photo. Thanks, Tyson

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 21Flynn trying to give Blake a little motivation to actually pick up his board for a change

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 22Paulo Diaz didn’t show any signs of slowing down and kept it going with the grabs all night

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 23Plunkett’s expression says it all while Jeremy Wray covers the madness, iPhone style

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 24Someone had to go upside down, so it might as well be Chris Colbourn

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 25Foy had to take a time out to indulge in that nights Lakers game. Long live Mamba!

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 26Long Beachers Christian Dufrene, Blake Carpenter, Ronnie Kessner and David Stoessel, made the nearly two-hour bumper-to-bumper drive up for this thing

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 27Events like this wouldn’t be possible without dudes like Nate Alton, pictured here with REAL’s newest am Gage Boyle

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 28Did we mention it was Plunkett’s birthday?

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 29Let’s be honest, he didn’t stand a chance against that cake

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 30Even Plunkett knows it still tastes good.

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 31And believe it or not, some still went in for slices. Happy Birthday, Dan!

THUNDERxGUY photoPAPKE 32That’s gonna be a wrap! Thanks to everyone that made their way out for Guy and his new pro Thunder truck. Make sure to hit your local skate shop to cop a pair—you won’t be bummed.
