Halloween Hellbomb 2023 Photos
10/30/2023
October is here and you know what that means—it’s time for the Halloween Hellbomb! This year instead of hitting Long Beach, we decided to try a different route and make our way up to Griffith Park to cause some chaos. From bombing a hill on a chicken, porta potties on wheels and a rare Jeff DeChesare sighting, we pretty much had everything. Hope y’all enjoy and we better see you next year dressed up and ready to rip! —Bailey Schreiner
Welcome back to Hellbomb! Bobby, Andrew, Tanner and Austin are starting this year a little differently
So who’s gonna go first?
They just went on three, classic
Andrew got a bit cocky
Tanner had to put the kneepads to the test
And it almost went smoothly
But clearly it didn’t
He’s all good! Ready to go again, maybe
Masterlensman Bobby Bils is all ready to rip. Let’s see how long those balloons last at the event
Not long at all. Sorry, Bobby
Kanaan and Dalton Dern had their costumes dialed, of course. They’ve done this before
Van Eggers whipped up this art piece the night before the event. Crushed it, Van!
Al Partanen and Kyle Walsh making sure everything is going to line up—the real backbone of the event
Hey, want a banana?
Princess Peach and Baby Toad came through, too!
First rips at Griffith Park, Lizard King gets a half Cab flip into the bank before the obstacles come out!
Stop it, Daniel, please, I beg you!
The crowd is starting to grow. Here we go!
Despite being a 'Blader, Barbie blessed the Hellbomb
Sean Salt needs you to throw that sign up
You think Patrick Star is gonna skate this thing?
What about Olaf?
I think this dude should work on his Spiderman look for next year. Could use some upgrades
Sam Muller and Taylor Ballard made it out! Always great seeing these dudes
And the rail is in! Time to get this thing started with obstacle number one
Kanaan gets first rip!
Just like that, the first sack. I have a feeling there will be more
Josh Douglas locks into a back Smith tighter than a Slipknot
Christian Hall crooking for the crowd, which is rapidly growing
Julian Lewis testing the waters with a 5-0
Santana Saldana with the front feeble. Don't forget your costume next time!
Can't tell if Brandon Burleigh came as James Dean or if this is his regular fit. Salad grind
Kanaan comes through with the noseblunt. He really thrives at these things
Kyle Walsh helped bolt it down, so of course he had to get a piece. Bonus points if you know the costume
D-Loy, Greyson Beal, Ethan Loy, Gabriel Fortunato and Christian Hall are here. What a turnout!
Julian with a rare balanced nosegrind
Brandon, front blunt to fakie! I can’t imagine takin' the tunnel backwards
Front feeble tail grab—there’s one you don’t see every day
Jake Yanko, Jake Yanko, Jake Yanko... Welcome's newest pro made it out. Congrats on the broom!
Santana with a hefty back tail
Look at that front foot! Luigi likes to dip
And another sack. This is what we came to see—Carnage!
Wouldn't be a costume contest withouth Ribsman. And is that a willie grind?! YES!
Santana back lipping like it's his local flatbar
I think someone ordered a taco. Evan Dineen delivered it
Luigi down!
Austin and Kyle admiring all their hard work coming to life. Nothing sweeter
Fresh outta the slammer, Boo Johnson gets a hammer. Front tail
The victory ride had to feel great. Just look at that reaction
Must've been a big jailbreak, 'cause we got Shiloh Catori on the lam too! Last we heard she was makin' her escape up to Clipper
Lizard was on the mic, so you know the commentary was gold
You ready for more?
Obstacle number two, the bump to bomb
Victory or Valhalla
First one in, Christian had to hit the early grab
Adrian Sisk with a picture-perfect tré flip
Santana just keeps going, tweaked-out fakie flip!
Yes, that is exactly what you think it is
Jesus Christ?! Oh no, it’s just Ace Pelka with an impossible tail grab
Huntin' down a hardflip for the crowd
Textbook switch front biggy
A kickflip melon is always a good spectator pleaser
Another fakie flip? I’m not mad at it
Seriously, though, this might win best costume
Look at that lineup. Can't believe some dick is hoggin' the middle though
Chris Pierre-Jacques hits a half Cab flip
Didn’t have a costume and rolled down like this? Come on, man…
Boo had to get the flick. Can you blame him? That’s a good lookin' view
Dane Vaughn! Yes!
Y’all wanna see some crazy shit?
Is that a porta potty?
More than a jailbreak, this is a goddamn prison riot!
Believe it or not, they made it to the bottom
Sweet freedom!
Collateral damage: Taylor took a street sign to the dome. Glad you made it out alright. Heal up soon!
Kyle parts the sea
Now that’s a pole jam!
Everyone had to make sure they could get a good view for this
Didn’t start off too strong
But Santana had it handled
Crook bonk! The only front-truck action this thing saw
You know D Loy had to get a rip
Boo was definitely having fun on the outside
How’s that for a view! Crowd was at an all-time max for this
Macey Lemus battled for this 5-0. It was epic to see her roll away with it
Deon Harris got his 5-0, pretty buck
The crowd watching him fly over their heads
Holy shit, is that who I think it is?
Yes, yes it was. And Jeff DeChesare shut it down with a triple flip. Who would have thought?
Looks at that ride away. He’s on cloud nine
Sorry, Jeff, next year we need to see a costume
Did you think this is how it was going to end? Well, neither did we. Congrats, Jeff! Hopefully we will see you back next year
The crowd went wild. It was a perfect ending. Now time to clean up and act like we were never here! But I aint touching that porta potty
