Leo Baker's "Post-Op" Spitfire Part Premiere Photos
10/25/2022
Nothing beats a night out with friends to celebrate a homie's new video part. That’s exactly what happened when Leo Baker and crew came together to premiere his new Spitfire part POST OP at KCDC Skateshop in Brooklyn. Familiar faces were seen, hugs were given and an all-around good time was had. Scroll down to see the good vibes! —Nathan Hutsenpiller
Going on two years strong in their new location and nearing their 21st birthday, KCDC Skateshop made for the perfect location to host the premiere. The shop has long been a Brooklyn staple and has seen multiple locations over the years—most recently taking over an old HUF store location in '21—where the shop continues to serve its community and offer a safe place for skateboarders and artists alike
Product placement was on point with Glue and Spitfire front and center
Cross-shop love from the Park Deli fam—Michael Sclafani, Valentine Leung and their son Marcel came through
Abi Teixeira and Elise Hedge setting things off right with the first hug of the night
A friend in need is a friend indeed
Will Robins and Sage Ceasar showing up to support their boy
The man of the hour arrives
Heavy crew alert: Geo, Leo, Arin and Brianna in the mix
Bouncer running a tight ship—even the guest of honor gets ID’d at the door!
Abi scoping out the beverage situation
The Glue that holds it all together, Stephen and Leo
Brothers in coffee, Jake Keenan and Eddie Davis gunning for the night’s best dressed
Couple of local legends, Danny Falla and Jimmy McDonald of 5Boro fame
Jacob Campbell, number-one filmer cred, number-one vibe manager
Trish, Arin, and Dutchy catch some fresh air before the show
Helping solve Jessyka Bailey’s lint situation in a pinch, Leo makes sure his friends are looking good at all times
Now we got a lint-free THERE pro Jessyka Bailey in the building
Former teammates, Jessyka and Jake catch up while Eddie ponders what kind of shampoo Jake’s been using
Nancy Hart and and KCDC store manager Corey Slaven hold down the bar and enjoy complimentary pizza from Screamers
Speaking of Screamers, Will Robins demonstrates
When you unknowingly photobomb a picture of your own flyer
Owen Leham, Loren Sidor, Sav Headden and company, all big fans and pumped for the premiere
Screamers was an obvious hit, and six large pies never stood a chance
Twinsies—Trish McGown and Crossy Maldonado all Glue’d up
BTS of Stephen’s iPhone angle
Owen Leham and Sage Ceasar, anxious for the show to begin
Real heads know Spitfire stickers make a perfectly good coaster
And the show begins! Leo reacts to the intro as the room erupts in applause
Full house packed to the gills
It's a hit!
Leo and Spitfire, number-one combo
There was a lot of love going around
The smiles were contagious as everyone got in on the group shot: Jessyka Bailey, Shauna Stamm, Reno, Elise Hedge, Abi Teixeira, Will Robins, Brian and Sage Caesar
We had a huge sample of locals in attendance, from the Village Psychic to 5Boro boys and one of Williamsburg's newest New Jerseyans Jake McNichol
The vibes were high post premiere as everyone filed out for the night—more hugs all around!
It wouldn't be a skate premiere if the second half of the party didn't take place out on the sidewalk
When you linger around because you just really don't want the night to be over
You don't have to go home—but Shauna Stamm might throw a bucket of ice on you if you don't leave!
Thanks for hosting the event, KCDC!
That's it for tonight's feature! All you have left to do is watch Leo’s part when it drops on the Thrasher channels tomorrow! It was a fun night and very refreshing to be a part of such a loving crowd of people in NYC. Congrats, Leo Baker, you rule and we can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next!
